Funny thing about this particular post...

A friend and I were having this conversation about... well, what I want in a man. I told him that I believe I've dated enough men that I have a pretty clear idea of what I want. He is not the first one who has asked me for specifics (and believe me, there's no romantic interest there, since he has a very serious girlfriend). So, I figured, why not? I'll just post it. This is, after all, my space. I'm sure there will be at least a couple of you who will be dying to comment... and of course, I'll be dying to read those comments!! Haha.... well enjoy.

(I think I want the same things pretty much everyone wants?)

I like a guy who is a tad bit smarter than me, or at least knowledgeable in things that I have little or no knowledge of. I want to always be learning.
He's in tune to me.. sensitive, listens to me, really makes the effort to get into my soul. And he wants me to be the same way towards him, and he lets me in.
Funny. A guy has to make me laugh. I'm easily amused so that's not all that difficult.
Can have fun in bed. It's not all serious.. Also a little adventure in bed never hurt. Also being good in bed is... good.
Passionate.
Intense-- not always, but sometimes.
Philosphical to an extent. Not overboard, but enjoys talking about random and indefinite things.
Good listener. I don't always want a 'fix.' Sometimes I know what I have to do in a situation, I just want someone to listen to me.
Best friend. Someone I can just enjoy hanging out with, whether we're watching a movie on the VCR or taking a trip somewhere.
I want someone who I find unbelievably attractive. Someone sexy.
I want a man who can and will tell me that I am beautiful and wonderful. And not just in the first 3 weeks of the relationship, either. Basically someone who appreciates me for being me and isn't afraid to let me know it.
Someone who can admit when he's wrong.
He calls me when he says he will... and he calls me just to surprise me and leave a message when I least expect it.
A gentleman. I'm a sucker for the door-opener, ladies first, the please's and thank you's.. manners never hurt anybody.
Gets a tiny bit jealous and possessive over me..
He surprises me.
Not afraid to tell me how he feels (not just about me.. about things in general)
Likes to dance.
Doesn't smoke.
Likes football.
At least as tall as me.. preferably with broad shoulders.
Can look at me and know what I need, how I feel, what I'm thinking (it is possible!).
Knows when to just hold me.
He inspires me to become the best person I can be rather than trying to change me.
Sends me love letters.
Loves children.
Loves me just for being me.
He's not afraid to hold my hand, wrap his arms around me, or give me a quick kiss in public.

So, I think that's about it.. of course there's probably more that I just can't think of at the moment, but this will do for now. What do you think?
